and organize an event to support the whole branding.
I chose "penangpac", the performing arts centre of Penang as my title for this project.
Logo design:
I've rebranded penangpac's logo, by giving it a more modern and contemporary look
with a rounded sans serif logotype. The logo is built based on stylized "ubuntu title".
The whole logo is constructed based on the concept of "emotions in motion".
I've inserted the iconic "tragedy and comedy"as the core element to represent performing arts,
which includes sad emoticon as the bowl of the letter "p" and a happy emoticon as the letter "c".
The corporate colours are limited to the colours that can be found in Penang state flag:
yellow, white and blue.
After giving a full corporate identity for "penangpac", I have planned an event, to launch the logo, and also to promote performing arts in Penang, in a different way.
I then came up with the idea of combining both "music and food", full filling the two most essential needs for Penang music lovers at once.
It is a music festival, with the following proposed programmes:
1) the vegetable orchestra - an orchestra fully performed with musical instruments made from vegetables.
2) edible musical instrument workshop - an workshop allowing participants to learn and DIY musical instruments from food and packagings.
3) "a chef's stage" musical play - a musical play performed using kitchen as setting, and kitchen utensils and food as medium of performance.
4) creative music competition - participants perform using their DIY musical instruments from the workshop previously.
The title for the music festival is "Tasty Tune Music Feast". The word "feast" is used
to replace the normal "fest" (short-form of festival) to relate it back to food.

1) harp - to represent music
2) kitchen utensils - to symbolize food.
